The mission

Bubwith SHAC’s mission is to provide top level teaching and child care. We exist to attract and maintain children. Our services are unique and exceed the expectations of both the children attending and their parents.

Bubwith SHAC is a new homework and activity club for the Bubwith area for 5-11 year olds set on the school premises. Whilst offering high quality provision to local children, the club will ensure that homework is done to promote good attitudes and an extension to the learning done in the classroom. In addition to this, the club will provide educational, active and creative workshops, developing team work, initiative and social skills.

The unique selling point of Bubwith SHAC is its Director (myself) – Sarah Lynskey. As an experienced PE teacher of 25 years, I have a wide range of skills and experiences invaluable to both the growth and learning of children. 

As a qualified teacher, I have a passion for teaching and learning and using physical activity to improve the strength, concentration and general well-being of the whole child. Whether in competitive sporting activities or independent, I have the knowledge and experience of how physical activity can benefit overall learning.

As well as homework and physical activities, Bubwith SHAC offers creative workshops that develop artistic, creative and problem solving skills. These types of activities help to develop team work, social skills and an understanding of the world around them. This curriculum, coupled with the school facility offers a service for the children and the parents/carers.

Bubwith SHAC helps the children, the parents, the school and the local community to create blossoming individuals for life in the future.

Admission

Breakfast and After School Club for years Reception - Year 6 TERM TIME ONLY

Breakfast sessions 7.30am – 8.45am Breakfast and board games / puzzles / colouring. Pre-booked £4 per session, Impromptu (book up to 6pm the night before) £4.50 per session.

After School Sessions Mon – Thurs 3.30 - 6pm, Snack, homework, activity/workshop and closing activity (if time) pre-booked £11.50 per session, Impromptu £12.50.

Sibling discount of £3.25 per morning session and £9.50 per afternoon session applies to second/third child place(s) when the children attend the same sessions.
